Heavy Duty Diesel Technician

As a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, adhering to safety regulations and company standards.
Apart from your technical expertise, you will also contribute to the overall success of our organization by:
- Completing routine inspections and tests on brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical parts
- Diagnosing malfunctions through electronic diagnostics and repairing electrical and hydraulic systems
- Performing DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles
- Maintaining accurate records and reports, as well as ordering parts as required
- Ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with all relevant regulations
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other related state and federal regulations
- Effective communication skills, enabling you to interact with various levels of the organization and external stakeholders
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals
- Experience using diagnostic software and willingness to learn new software systems
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), preferably, or the ability to obtain one within six months
- ASE certifications, a plus
- At least three years of experience in diesel/CNG maintenance
We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as:
