We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Job Description

As a Master Diesel Technician at GFL Environmental, you will safely operate, repair, rebuild, and perform maintenance on our heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure they are in proper operating condition. You will diagnose and repair complex issues, complete basic inspections, test drive vehicles, perform standard electronic diagnostics, and maintain accurate records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience, a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), ASE certifications, and the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization. You should also be able to read, analyze, and interpret documents, and have experience using diagnostic software.

Essential Functions
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel and CNG engines
  • Complete basic inspections of brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts
  • Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they are working properly
  • Perform standard electronic diagnostics and repair electrical equipment and hydraulic systems
  • Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
