Job Summary

The ASPCA Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our team. As a Veterinarian, you will provide high-quality, practical veterinary care to a wide range of outpatients and inpatients, and work collaboratively with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Manage medical cases, including providing skilled and efficient diagnosis and treatment of outpatients and hospitalized animals within hospital medical parameters and budgetary guidelines.
  • Perform general procedures, routine and emergency surgery, and high-volume dentistry.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to external and internal clients.
  • Practice in compliance with Fear Free guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Requirements
  • Doctorate: Veterinary Medicine (Required) DVM degree (or equivalent) with NY State veterinary license.
  • Ability to successfully work in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care practice.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and good judgment.
  • Strong analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, make decisions quickly, and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong interest in animal welfare and serving underserved communities.
