Job Title: Lead Veterinarian

About the Role:

The ASPCA is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional veterinary care to animals in underserved communities, while also mentoring and guiding our team of veterinarians to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate veterinary care to animals in our clinics and mobile units
  • Mentor and coach veterinarians to improve their skills and confidence
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve animal welfare and community engagement
  • Collaborate with our medical and client operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in veterinary medicine

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Previous people management experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
