Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate comprehensive project plans, timelines, and financial forecasts for extensive additive manufacturing endeavors, ensuring alignment with established goals.
- Oversee project execution from initial quotation through to production, managing a diverse team of indirect reports across technical and administrative domains.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to synchronize efforts in advancing Research and Development (R&D) Technology Readiness Levels (TRL).
- Provide expert guidance to clients and stakeholders regarding project scope and timelines, while clarifying product and process specifications.
- Document any project delays, scope changes, and incidents impacting timelines to maintain seamless project flow.
- Develop and uphold project schedules, clearly defining dependencies and critical paths.
- Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and addressing obstacles to ensure timely completion while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to oversee project budgets and schedules effectively.
- Ensure that all projects and products meet stringent quality standards.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities, recommending proactive solutions to mitigate issues.
- Prepare detailed engineering estimates and proposals for large-scale projects to secure organizational support.
- Forecast project revenues, manage expenses, and perform monthly cost re-estimations to enhance profitability.
- Facilitate collaboration across various functional teams to ensure alignment with overarching project objectives.
- Create and deliver polished presentations on project status to leadership teams.
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by applicable regulations.
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with clients.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with formal presentation capabilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project for schedule development and maintenance.
- Experience in leading TRL advancement initiatives.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Experience with solid modeling software, particularly Solidworks.
- Background in production manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in Metal Additive Manufacturing processes.
- Experience in Risk and Opportunity management.
- PMP certification is advantageous.
