Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Respiratory Therapy Manager and staff to manage equipment and supply cleaning, disinfection, and preparation for reuse.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and par counts for all supplies and equipment throughout the facility.
  • Assist in managing bulk supply and medical gas inventory effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
  • Collect discontinued equipment from patient care areas and ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of reusable supplies.
  • Prepare and reassemble equipment for reuse, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Deliver essential supplies and equipment to various departments as requested.
  • Monitor and maintain medical gas inventory and disposable equipment supply bins.
  • Change disinfecting solutions and ensure cleanliness of the working area.
  • Support department initiatives related to Continuous Quality Improvement and Infection Control Plans.
  • Order necessary cleaning and disinfecting supplies and assist with inventory control.
  • Identify defective equipment and coordinate with management for evaluation and repair.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or GED. Experience with medical equipment and supplies is preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association is required prior to employment.
