Role Summary

The Chief Veterinary Officer is tasked with ensuring the delivery of exceptional veterinary care while fostering strong relationships with pet owners. This role encompasses physical examinations, surgical procedures, and dental care, with a strong emphasis on client communication and education. It is essential that our veterinarians treat every pet and client with the utmost care and respect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the continuous evaluation and management of clinical practices and patient care delivery.
  • Monitor the performance and productivity of associate veterinarians.
  • Collaborate with the hospital manager to enhance financial performance, focusing on revenue generation and cost management.
  • Communicate examination findings and diagnoses to clients, presenting treatment plans and educating them on preventive health care.
  • Maintain accurate medical and surgical records, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Stay informed about advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education.
  • Support the development of the veterinary team to ensure the highest quality of care and client service.
  • Represent the hospital positively within the professional community and to the public.
  • Foster a family-like atmosphere for clients and treat each patient with compassion.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • Required: 3+ years of clinical experience as a veterinarian.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead a team through diverse cases.
  • Commitment to client and patient care.
  • Team-oriented with a strong reputation for compassion.
