About the Job

Central Health Management, Inc. is seeking a board-certified physician for a locum tenens assignment in a post-acute care work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal or family medicine and be able to provide temporary coverage for direct patient care in skilled nursing, assisted living, and short-term rehabilitation centers.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and admit new patients
  • Round and assess existing patients
  • Develop and amend treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications
  • Order labs and tests
  • Communicate with other medical staff
  • Chart patient progress
  • Certify and recertify patients for extended stays
  • Develop discharge plans

Requirements

  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification in Internal or Family Medicine
  • Active and unencumbered medical license to practice in the state
  • Active and unencumbered DEA license to prescribe in the state
  • Excellent bedside manner, communication, collaboration, and empathy skills
  • Ability to successfully complete a credentialing process
