Job Summary:

As a key member of our Brigham Young University-Hawaii team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include setting up food service and kitchen areas, preparing a variety of dishes, and interacting with customers to take orders and answer questions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up food service and kitchen areas, including equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction and in accordance with specific area needs.
  • Assist in the preparation of hot and cold meat and vegetable dishes, beverages, salads, sandwiches, and other similar food items.
  • Clean and maintain sanitary work areas, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Interact with customers to take orders, receive payments, and answer questions in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. No prior experience necessary, as on-the-job training will be provided. Physical demands of the job may include standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a hot kitchen environment. Base rate per hour: $14.50.
