Manufacturing Production Specialist

Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Production Specialist operates essential equipment such as dollies to facilitate the loading, unloading, and transportation of materials, playing a critical role in the manufacturing and packaging processes along the production line.
This role demands significant physical effort, with a strong emphasis on manual labor and a consistent work pace to ensure the seamless and ongoing flow of production activities.
The current work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, alternating between day and night shifts every two weeks.
Overtime may be required as necessary.
Starting compensation is $17.50 per hour, with potential progression to over $22.00 per hour within the first year.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of all operational and safety protocols.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Transporting samples, raw materials, and supplies.
- Moving products using hand dollies and powder vans (trucks).
- Maintaining operational logs, preparing labels as necessary, and accurately documenting information.
- Operating pneumatic and other required tools.
- Utilizing hoisting equipment.
- Participating in Hazmat/Fire Brigade activities.
- Driving tractor-trailer rigs to relocate NC trailers, along with other assigned tasks.
- Engaging in bending, climbing stairs and ladders, and reaching above shoulder height.
- Performing repetitive pushing and trucking of up to 210 pounds and lifting of up to 55 pounds.
- Demonstrating finger, hand, and overall physical dexterity.
- Committing to 12-hour shifts and rotating between day and night shifts every 14 days.
- Completing all job functions in a non-climate-controlled setting.
- Availability for weekend work and overtime as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- A GED or High School Diploma is required, or the ability to achieve passing scores on the Work Keys Skills Test administered by CareerSource Capital Region.
- Ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions.
- Dependability and a satisfactory work record, including attendance, are crucial.
- Physical dexterity to operate equipment and instrumentation is necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required.
- Capability to pass task certifications and the powder van driving test is essential.
- A strong desire to work and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required.
- BATFE clearance is necessary.
- A valid State Driver's License is required.
