Job Summary:
Piedmont Macon Medical Center seeks a skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality psychiatric and chemical dependency counseling services to patients admitted to our Behavioral Health units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients addressing both psychiatric and chemical dependency issues.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in a related field required.
- Two years of experience in a clinical setting, either inpatient or outpatient/partial hospital setting, addressing both psychiatric and chemical dependency issues.
- Professional certification and/or licensure as LCSW/LMSW; LMFT/LAMFT; LPC/LAPC. Full license preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a psychiatric setting or addictive disease treatment setting.
- Three years of continuous active recovery in a twelve-step program.
