Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced mental health therapist to join our team at River Edge Behavioral Health. As a therapist, you will work with children aged 5 and up, providing individual and family therapy in a clinical setting or via telehealth. You will be responsible for completing behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and obtaining authorizations for services. You will also be required to maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and attend staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and clinical supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and family therapy to individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders
  • Complete behavioral health assessments and treatment planning
  • Obtain authorizations for services and complete OTRs
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records
  • Attend staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and clinical supervision
  • Refer clients or families to community resources to assist in recovery
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage & family counseling, or rehab counseling
  • Eligibility to be licensed (LPC/APC, LCSW/LMSW, or LMFT/AMFT)
  • Associate or full clinical license preferred (LPC/APC, LCSW/LMSW, or LMFT/AMFT)
  • Ability to pass a satisfactory background clearance and pre-employment drug test
