River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Master's Level Clinician to join our team of professionals in the delivery of recovery-oriented services. As a key member of our Adult Outpatient Center, you will be responsible for providing behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning for adult populations with mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities, or co-occurring disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct biopsychosocial and behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning in person or via telehealth.
- Assess and refer to internal programs such as case management, mental health day programs, substance abuse outpatient programs, supported employment services, early intervention programs for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis, intensive case management, ACT services, residential programs, or crisis services.
- Act as client advocate to coordinate required services or resolve crises.
- Perform commitment determinations and/or execute orders of involuntary commitments.
- Provide short-term counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention.
- Refer clients or families to community resources to assist in recovery from mental or physical illness and provide access to services such as financial assistance, legal aid, housing, job placement/education, etc.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing set standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, ASO, DBHDD, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards.
- Update job knowledge by maintaining licensure, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, etc.
- Master's degree in a behavioral health field and eligibility for a Georgia license as LCSW/LMSW, LPC/APC, LMFT/LAMFT. Must actively pursue licensure upon hire.
