Recovery Specialist

At Northpoint Recovery, we are committed to providing exceptional care and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions. As a Recovery Technician, you will play a vital role in our multidisciplinary treatment team, working closely with patients, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct and indirect patient care, adhering to Northpoint policies and procedures.
- Assist with the implementation of programming and care plans, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.
- Interact with patients, observing behaviors and communicating significant observations to clinical staff.
- Complete paperwork and documentation accurately and timely, including daily logs and forms.
- Support the structure of the milieu through resource allocation and supervision of patients.
- Participate in recreational outings and activities with patients, promoting pro-social and coping skills.
- Ensure the wellbeing of patients and provide a positive, supportive environment, responding to patient needs to improve outcomes.
- Assist with facility cleanliness and upkeep under direction of leadership.
- Collaborate with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary, facilitating and assisting with activity and education group sessions.
- Oversee and manage the safe and efficient transport of patients to and from our facilities.
- Assist with treatment planning and discharge planning, documenting information regarding client care and behavior as required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have at least one year of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
- Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and build rapport with patients.
- De-escalation techniques.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Client service-oriented (both internal and external).
- Creative and persistent problem solver.
- Able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner.
- Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of organization.
- Completion of a tuberculin screening during the first week of employment.
- Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident, and upon reasonable suspicion of use.
- Completion of CPR/First Aid Training within the first 90 days of employment.
- Completion of background and professional reference checks.
- Completion of a Motor Vehicle Record check.
