Job Summary:

As a Recovery Technician at Northpoint Recovery, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary treatment team to implement programming and care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to clinical staff
Follow reporting and communication guidelines when interacting with staff and patients
Complete paperwork, including daily logs and forms, in a timely and accurate manner
Maintain daily schedules and structure, including transport times, meal times, and transition times
Function as a member of the treatment team, providing patient observation rounds and consistent monitoring of patient activities and behaviors
Attend and promote recreational outings and activities with patients, encouraging pro-social and coping skills
Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment
Maintain facility cleanliness and upkeep under direction of leadership
Assist patients with their needs and collaborate with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary
Facilitate and assist with activity and education group sessions, documenting timely and accurately
Oversee and manage the safe and efficient transport of patients to and from our facilities
Assist in orientation of new admissions
Utilize therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and their families
Be a role model for patients and create a positive culture with staff
Assist with treatment planning and discharge planning
Document information regarding client care and behavior as required
Utilize de-escalation skills when exposed to volatile clients
Assist counseling and administrative staff in responding to emergency situations
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures
Adhere to all Company policies and procedures

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have at least one year of relevant work experience
Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships, and excellent communication skills
Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and build rapport with patients
Knowledge of surrounding geographic area to ensure effective and efficient routing
Ability to organize and prioritize competing priorities and work time to balance demands
Must perform proficiently in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation

Ability to handle confidential material in a reliable manner

Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office Suite

Conditions of Employment:

Completion of a tuberculin screening during first week of employment
Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident, and upon reasonable suspicion of use
Completion of CPR/First Aid Training within first 90 days of employment
Completion of background and professional reference checks
Completion of a Motor Vehicle Record check
