Job Overview

At Advanced Heart & Vascular Physicians, Inc., we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team. This role will support physicians during consultations and examinations, ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.

Responsibilities:

  • Accompany physicians during consultations and examinations.
  • Transcribe interview details and physical exams per physician instruction using medical terminology and documentation guidelines.
  • Complete all necessary documentation of patient encounters in the medical chart, including entering orders as dictated by the physician.
  • Maintain patient test lists, tracking results as they become available.
  • Scan and file lab reports/test results and charts via electronic medical record.
  • Prepare discharge instructions for review with patients.
  • Perform other duties as directed by physicians or supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and observation/listening skills.
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Previous Electronic Medical Records experience is required.
  • Previous Medical Office experience is also required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a must.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
