Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyzing data to create personalized treatment plans
  • Implement and evaluate treatment effectiveness, making recommendations for adjustments as needed
  • Perform respiratory therapies, including CPAP/BiPap, jet aerosol, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management
  • Provide patient education on cardiopulmonary diseases and disorders, as well as associated treatment options
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care
  • Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or five years of CRT experience in patient populations from Nursery/NICU and/or ICU/CCU environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
  • Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) certification
  • Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
