Job Title: MFM Sonographer

Advantia Health is seeking a skilled MFM Sonographer to join our team in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. As a key member of our Maternal Fetal Medicine Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review preliminary reports for physician review and signature.
  • Collaborate with physicians to review studies and provide expert analysis.
  • Assist with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
  • Code services performed accurately and maintain proper operation of ultrasound equipment.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and take corrective action.
  • Maintain examination room cleanliness and inventory of ultrasound supplies.
  • Follow accredited laboratory protocols for obtaining high-quality images.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography.
  • ARDMS OB/GYN certification or eligibility.
  • Fetal echo certification or eligibility to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Completion of a program containing OB/GYN ultrasonography.
  • Maintain or be eligible for certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
