We are seeking a skilled and motivated Concrete Labor Finisher to join our team at Northside Welding & Fabrication. As a Concrete Labor Finisher, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to concrete placement and finishing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Form Inspection and Setup: Inspect forms for proper construction and set them to the desired slope, depth, and alignment.
- Concrete Placement and Finishing: Spread, level, and smooth concrete using a rake, shovel, hand float, and bull float.
- Expansion Jointing and Edging: Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, a jointer, and a straight edge.
- Equipment Operation: Operate hand and power tools such as concrete saws and power vibrators.
- Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate skid steers and forklifts.
- Travel and Transportation: May be required to travel to different job sites up to 100 miles away via company truck.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Work Schedule: Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor elements.
- Ability to work alone under little supervision and maintain a positive attitude when working with others as a team.
- Understanding of concrete techniques, methods of construction, and proficiency in using concrete equipment and basic measurement tools.
