Job Overview

As a Construction Laborer at Steed Global, you will play a vital role in supporting our commercial concrete projects. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting skilled tradespeople, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and performing various physical tasks to ensure the efficient operation of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assistance: Collaborate with skilled workers to ensure the successful completion of concrete pouring, finishing, and formwork installation tasks.
  • Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris and ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
  • Material Handling: Assist in the transportation and setup of materials and equipment, adhering to all safety protocols to minimize risks.
  • Physical Labor: Perform various manual labor tasks, including digging, hauling, and lifting materials as needed throughout the project.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety practices and protocols on-site, participating in safety meetings and ensuring that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with team members and communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Training: Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in concrete construction and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in construction or labor roles is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and the ability to follow instructions and guidelines carefully.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
