Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the ICU unit during the designated shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services and collaborate with subject matter experts to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Operationalize current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
  • Recommend and implement courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse Associate Degree.
  • Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses, Trauma Care After Resuscitation, or Trauma Nursing Core Course certification within 60 months of employment start date.
