Fiber Optic Cable Technician

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer to join our team. As a Fiber Splicer, you will be responsible for preparing and splicing fiber optic cable within our telecommunications system.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and splice fiber optic cable to ensure high-quality connections
- Operate OTDR and fusion splicing equipment to test and verify cable connections
- Read and interpret fiber matrices to identify and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily production reports and document work performed
- Use hand tools, ladders, and equipment to assist in project completion
- 2 years of related work experience in telecommunications or a related field
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment, including wrenches, drills, ladders, and saws
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
