Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, the role involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Safety and Compliance:
- 1.1 Adhere to departmental protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- 1.2 Prepare and set up cleaning equipment with necessary supplies.
- 1.3 Address any discrepancies immediately, such as spills or overflowing waste.
- 1.4 Complete assigned cleaning tasks as scheduled and according to established procedures.
- 1.5 Report any incomplete tasks to the supervisor before the end of the shift.
- 1.6 Notify the service response center or supervisor of any discrepancies, such as damaged fixtures or unsightly areas.
- 1.7 Ensure all cleaning materials are correctly labeled and contain the appropriate solutions.
- 1.8 Maintain an organized and clean storage area for cleaning supplies.
- 2. Housekeeping Duties:
- 2.1 Conduct high dusting to keep ceiling and wall vents free of dust.
- 2.2 Clean and sanitize furniture, doors, walls, and all horizontal surfaces.
- 2.3 Ensure all interior windows are free from smudges and marks.
- 2.4 Maintain bathrooms in a clean and sanitary condition.
- 2.5 Regularly check and refill dispensers for paper products and soap.
- 2.6 Properly dispose of sharps containers and replace them with new liners.
- 2.7 Clean trash receptacles on a regular basis.
- 2.8 Clean and prepare patient rooms for new admissions following discharges.
- 2.9 Maintain floors through appropriate cleaning methods to prevent buildup.
- 2.10 Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- 2.11 Perform specific tasks as required by the unit.
- 3. Waste Management:
- 3.1 Collect and transport recyclable materials from various locations.
- 3.2 Assist in breaking down cardboard for efficient disposal.
- 3.3 Manage the removal of medical waste and sharps containers.
