Job Title: Supervisor - Environmental Services

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor - Environmental Services to join our team at ABM Industries. As a key member of our Environmental Services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our facilities, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a customer service mindset at all times with both internal and external customers.
  • Respond to all requests from customers with a can-do attitude and follow up with a sense of urgency.
  • Implement established department procedures and programs that meet goals and ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Conduct quality improvement inspections within assigned areas of responsibility to ensure quality and satisfaction levels are meeting and/or exceeding expectations.
  • Directly manage a staff of frontline Environmental Associates, including maintaining training competencies, annual online coursework, time and attendance, and performance.
  • Develop and coach department associates to ensure fullest potential is reached.
  • Ensure work assignments, daily and weekly work schedules meet department and facility needs.
  • Ensure department Training Programs and recertification programs are being conducted within appropriate timeframes.
  • Lead and promote departmental TQM/Customer Service Initiatives.
  • Tour and meet with facility customers to ensure that customer needs and expectations are met at all times.
  • Report all pertinent data in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all internal and external customers.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of Customer Service Experience
  • Preferred Experience: 1 year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting, experience in environmental services, 1 year of supervisory experience
Interactions:
  • Receives direction from the Director of Environmental Services, Assistant Director of EVS, or Operations Manager of EVS
  • Directly manages a staff of frontline Environmental Associates
  • Works cooperatively with the rest of EVS Management Team, Regional Directors of Operations, and ABM Healthcare Management Personnel
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with varying workloads and meet changing deadlines as necessary. The ability to establish priorities, work independently, and accomplish objectives without supervision is essential. The successful candidate will also be required to travel via automobile to meetings and hospital-related functions.
