Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Child Welfare Program, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of Oregon's most at-risk children and families. Your commitment will contribute to our transformative vision aimed at ensuring safety, health, and overall well-being for young individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Focus Area: Engage in diverse casework, primarily assisting Child Protective Services (CPS) personnel in various locations while also supporting Permanency Workers.
  • Community Interaction: Foster connections with community stakeholders, caseworkers, and families. Your role will emphasize relationship-building across diverse groups, including participation in community outreach initiatives.
  • Comprehensive Assistance: Provide essential support by addressing service gaps, supervising family interactions, and facilitating transportation to necessary appointments.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage a range of administrative tasks, including data entry, processing funding requests, managing referrals, and assisting caseworkers with documentation.
Qualifications:
  • One year of experience in supporting professionals within specialized social programs, or
  • Relevant certification in fields such as Child Development or Early Childhood Education, or
  • College coursework in relevant areas like sociology or psychology, or
  • An associate degree in a non-related field combined with six months of relevant experience.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, demonstrating reliability and responsiveness.
  • Experience in engaging and collaborating with community partners and diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Office 365.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed practices and inclusivity.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and effective collaboration.
Work Environment:
  • Work will occur in various settings, including offices and community locations.
  • Travel between different sites may be required.
  • Expect a professional work schedule with potential for flexible hours based on service demands.
