Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader to join our team at Townsend. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient completion of tasks and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Job Site Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your crew members.
  • Task Completion: Complete job worksheets and submit daily reports.
  • Crew Training: Train crew members in efficient and timely manner.
  • Plant Maintenance: Install and maintain trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, and bulbs.
  • Pruning and Edging: Prune trees, shrubs, and roses, and edge and mulch planting beds and tree rings.
  • Weed Control: Promote weed control in planting beds and tree rings.
  • Plant Health: Maintain plant health and identify plant material.
  • Insect and Disease Identification: Identify insects and diseases.
  • Tool Maintenance: Provide maintenance and care of tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of two to five years of crew leader experience.
  • Safety Knowledge: Understands occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to problem solve.
  • Physical Requirements: Meet all physical requirements of the position.
  • Background Check: Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations.
