Position - Investment Portfolio Analyst

Location - Watsonville, CA

Position Overview:

The Investment Portfolio Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Portfolio Manager in managing the daily functions of the Office of the CIO. This department is responsible for defining and upholding the core management functions of the Information Services Department.

The Analyst will report directly to the Portfolio Manager and will work in close collaboration with both the Portfolio Manager and the Senior Director of the CIO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily operations of the Office of the CIO, focusing on Vendor and Portfolio Management.
  • Ensure that team Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and tasks are being effectively addressed.
  • Support the Portfolio Manager by managing incoming inquiries and issues, escalating them as necessary.
  • Oversee vendor contracts and their renewals.
  • Facilitate the legal intake and review process.
  • Monitor vendor expenditures and identify any discrepancies.
  • Utilize various data sources to produce insightful reports.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for management and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with all management levels, particularly with leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process enhancements.
  • Lead and coordinate meetings as directed by the Portfolio Manager.
  • Represent the organization in a professional and ethical manner in all interactions.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience with ServiceNow SPM, ITSM, and SAM.
  • Familiarity with Project Portfolio Management and the ITIL framework.

  • Strong project management and planning skills.
  • Proficient in financial and business analysis techniques with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with all management levels, especially leadership.
  • Self-motivated with effective time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, SPM, and SAM is advantageous.
  • ITIL or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Results-driven mindset.
