Position: Portfolio Analyst

Location: Watsonville, CA

Role Overview:

The Portfolio Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Portfolio Manager in the daily management of the Office of the CIO. This department is responsible for defining and maintaining the core functions of the Information Services Department.

Reporting directly to the Portfolio Manager, the Portfolio Analyst collaborates closely with both the Portfolio Manager and the Senior Director of the CIO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily operations of the Office of the CIO, focusing on Vendor and Portfolio Management.
  • Ensure that team Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and activities are effectively managed.
  • Address incoming inquiries and issues, escalating them as necessary to the Portfolio Manager.
  • Oversee vendor contracts and their renewals.
  • Facilitate the legal intake and review process.
  • Monitor vendor expenses, identifying and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Utilize various data sources to create insightful reports.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations for management and executive audiences.
  • Engage with all levels of management, particularly leadership, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Lead and coordinate meetings as directed by the Portfolio Manager.
  • Represent the organization professionally in all interactions with stakeholders.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint (Advanced)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Visio
  • Experience with ServiceNow SPM, ITSM, and SAM
  • Familiarity with Project Portfolio Management and ITIL framework

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all management levels, especially leadership.

  • ITIL or PMP certification is advantageous.
