Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to contribute to the mission of Northeast Iowa Community College through effective teaching, community service, and scholarly activities.

The instructor will deliver high-quality education to ensure that the academic programs meet student learning outcomes and facilitate students' successful transition into the workforce or further education.

Responsibilities include maintaining academic program sustainability and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.

Qualifications
A diploma or AAS degree is required, with ASE-Master Technician certification or a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Applicants should possess a minimum of four years of relevant work experience or a combination of work experience and education in the automotive repair sector.

Compliance with the Iowa Department of Education certification and credentialing requirements is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver courses aligned with departmental objectives.
- Adhere to all scheduled class and office hours promptly.
- Provide academic advising and assist with student registration.
- Participate in faculty meetings and maintain accurate attendance records in accordance with Federal Financial Aid Guidelines.
- Prepare and submit grade reports as required by the Department Dean.
- Identify students who may require counseling and submit reports accordingly.
- Actively engage in committee work as appointed.
- Manage procurement of instructional materials in line with applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventories of equipment and supplies.
- Support student recruitment efforts as necessary.
- Contribute to the development of a cohesive general education program within the department and college district.
- Ensure proper maintenance of shop equipment and manage a tool replacement schedule.
