Job Title: Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Faculty

As a key member of the Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Colorado team, the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Faculty will provide critical support to the Dean in various functions, including organizational planning, substitute management, and departmental communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Dean of Faculty in daily operations and projects
  • Coordinate substitute teachers, including scheduling, tracking, and recruiting
  • Assist with faculty and instructional staff candidate recruitment and preliminary screening
  • Provide general teacher and staff support as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in sensitive matters
  • Manage multiple tasks, calendars, and projects with minimal supervision
  • Support the Dean of Faculty with scheduling, communications, and training
  • Occasionally provide discipline support in classrooms and hallways, and lunch/recess supervision
  • Foster professional relationships with faculty and staff
  • Model moral character and uphold the school's core virtues
  • Participate in professional development opportunities
  • Maintain a collegial, professional relationship with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Commitment to Ascent Classical Academy Charter Schools of Colorado's policies, mission, and vision
  • Commitment to high moral character and ordered liberty
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • High proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Forms, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Sites, and Slides
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with superior organization and computer skills
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with team members
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain confidentiality
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Willingness to support the school leadership team as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to traverse the classroom and school
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, or standing
  • Ability to supervise outdoor activities
