Job Title: Cloud Cyber Security Operations Analyst

Sev1Tech is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Cyber Security Operations Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based systems and applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize cloud compute, storage, and application hosting platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud computing statistics and systems to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct real-time monitoring and triaging of security alerts from various sources, including SIEM, system, network appliance, and cloud service systems.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations, Cloud Computing Tier 2 Team, and other stakeholders to recommend modifications to cloud-based environments and configurations to avoid or remediate unscheduled outages.
  • Provide expert-level support for cloud operations, including troubleshooting, incident response, and problem management.
Requirements:
  • BA or BS degree or at least 4 years of IT work experience in federal government contracting.
  • Five or more years of experience as a Cloud Analyst.
  • Experience monitoring networks, applications, and platforms in the cloud and on-prem, including data centers.
  • Cloud operations experience with systems and data hosted in Microsoft and AWS environments.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities, with the ability to pinpoint root causes.
  • Ability to triage and efficiently escalate network and security issues, events, and problems.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, working with Tier 3 personnel, other contractor teams, IT customers, and vendors.
