Position: Facility Maintenance Technician
Employment Type: Full-time, Right to Hire
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with overtime as required
Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician who is proficient in a wide range of maintenance tasks, repairs, and enhancements throughout our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical repairs
- Conduct drywall patching and minor carpentry work
- Execute painting and touch-up tasks as necessary
- Install and assemble furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and resolve issues efficiently
- Carry out preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
- Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of the premises
- Support various departments with additional tasks and projects as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a handyman or similar maintenance role
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Competence in basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical condition with the capability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor tasks
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Certification or training in relevant trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical)
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures
