Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at Glens Falls Hospital. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting mechanical equipment and systems. This is a critical role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Respond to service requests and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including documentation of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year trade school education or 5 years of experience in a mechanical and/or electrical trade preferred.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License required; Journeyman and/or Apprentice Licensure preferred.
  • US EPA Refrigerant Certification (Class 1, 2, or 3) Licensure preferred.
