Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Durational Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant PTA to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a registered physical therapist to administer therapeutic modalities, instruct patients in exercises and activities, and fit them with orthopedic appliances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Health Care: Educate patients on general health and self-care procedures, review physician orders, and instruct patients on home equipment use.
  • Therapeutic Modalities: Administer physical therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitor patient response, and adjust treatments as needed.
  • Patient Assistance: Assist patients with ambulation, exercises, and daily living activities, providing emotional support and guidance.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is available for procedures, set up orthopedic traction, and maintain clean work areas.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patient treatment, log procedures, and track equipment usage.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program with an Associate or Science degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent certification.
  • Licensure: Current Physical Therapist Assistant Certificate (California).
  • Experience: Successful completion of clinical competencies during internship.
Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: $41.86 - $46.37 per hour, based on location.
  • Part-time Schedule: 32 hours per week, including two weekends/month and holidays.
  • Location: Anaheim Medical Center, California.
  • Job Type: Standard Worker.
