Job Title: Mechanical Assembler/Material Handler

Location: Onsite, Tempe, Arizona

HIS Innovations Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler/Material Handler to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for constructing mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies using purchased and manufactured parts.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Utilize various electric tools, such as drills, in a proficient manner.
  • Maintain inventory of product in workstation while preserving order, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Repair and/or rework assembled equipment and products as instructed.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Receive incoming shipments from suppliers, vendors, or other sources.
  • Verify the accuracy of shipments by comparing received items to packing lists or purchase orders.
  • Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean work area and lean manufacturing culture.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience taking initiative, setting goals, and efficiently accomplishing tasks within set timelines.
  • Ability to efficiently manage and organize several projects simultaneously and re-prioritize tasks or projects as needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail with an ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ethical workplace conduct, including being a good human to your fellow employees.
  • 1-2 years minimum mechanical or electrical assembly experience.
  • A minimum of 6 months' cabling and wiring experience.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is often preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Basic computer navigation skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
  • Capable of regularly lifting a maximum of 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
  • Possesses manual dexterity and visual capability to put parts and/or pieces together quickly and accurately.
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders on a regular basis, preferred.
