HIS Innovations Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler/Material Handler to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for constructing mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies using purchased and manufactured parts.

Responsibilities:
  • Assembly and Quality Control: Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Tool Utilization: Utilizes various electric tools, such as drills, in a proficient manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintains inventory of product in workstation while preserving order, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Quality Assurance: Performs quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Defect Identification and Documentation: Identifies product defects and completes appropriate documentation as needed.
  • Repair and Rework: Repairs and/or reworks assembled equipment and products as instructed.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Inventory Verification: Receives incoming shipments from suppliers, vendors, or other sources and verifies the accuracy of shipments by comparing received items to packing lists or purchase orders.
  • Damage Inspection and Reporting: Inspects goods for damage or defects and reports any discrepancies.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintains a clean work area and lean manufacturing culture.

Qualifications:
  • Initiative and Time Management: Demonstrated experience taking initiative, setting goals, and efficiently accomplishing tasks within set timelines.
  • Project Management: Ability to efficiently manage and organize several projects simultaneously and re-prioritize tasks or projects as needed.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with an ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ethical Workplace Conduct: Ethical workplace conduct, including being a good human to your fellow employees.
  • Experience: 1-2 years minimum mechanical or electrical assembly experience.
  • Cabling and Wiring Experience: A minimum of 6 months' cabling and wiring experience.
  • Warehouse Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is often preferred.
  • Inventory Management Systems: Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Computer Navigation: Basic computer navigation skills.
  • Communication: Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of regularly lifting a maximum of 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
  • Manual Dexterity: Possesses manual dexterity and visual capability to put parts and/or pieces together quickly and accurately.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Relocation: Ability to safely climb ladders on a regular basis, preferred.

Location: On-site in a warehouse environment at HIS Innovations Group in Tempe, Arizona. The ability to commute to the site readily and reliably, or a plan to relocate to the area before starting work and independent of this role, is required.

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Daily schedule has some flexibility.
