Position Overview

The Healthcare Professions Coordinator (HPC) at WellSpace Institute will facilitate engagement with volunteers, students, and educational programs, serving as a key link for coordinating educational opportunities within WellSpace Health. The HPC will ensure that processes are efficient, organized, and comprehensive, providing numerous avenues for practical experience in healthcare administration, clinical practice, patient engagement, outreach, and behavioral health.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in business management or a related field preferred, or a combination of education and a minimum of two years of experience in healthcare administration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability in recruiting students through motivational support and fostering the growth of WellSpace Institute's mission to inspire careers in healthcare.
  • Commitment to serving underserved populations and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds, including low-income individuals, ethnic minorities, and those facing various life challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent listening abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, Power BI, Tableau, and other data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Solid customer service experience, including active listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Adherence to HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Ability to foster a culture of integrity and ethical stewardship of resources.
  • Compliance with all relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time within the region.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain health professions programs for students at various educational levels.
  • Coordinate outreach and onboarding for health professions and graduate education programs.
  • Establish protocols and training for volunteers, interns, and students.
  • Collaborate with departments to maintain internship opportunities and communicate with managers regarding intern placements.
  • Engage with community organizations to recruit interns and volunteers.
  • Work with clinical and operational teams to create career pathways within WellSpace Health.
  • Uphold confidentiality and privileged communications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
