Job Summary

Mount Indie seeks a seasoned Cybersecurity Analyst to lead security efforts focused on protecting high-impact digital assets in Arlington, VA. This position requires 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

The role involves continuously monitoring systems to detect security threats, conducting vulnerability assessments, and implementing robust security measures to prevent unauthorized access and cyber attacks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Threat detection and monitoring: Use SIEM tools like Splunk to identify potential security threats and analyze data.
  • Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing: Regularly assess system vulnerabilities and conduct penetration tests to identify weaknesses.
  • Incident response and investigation: Respond to security incidents promptly, investigating breaches to understand root causes and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Security measure implementation: Implement robust security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Collaboration and compliance: Work closely with IT and security teams to enhance security protocols and ensure compliance with industry and governmental standards.
  • Reporting and documentation: Provide detailed reports on incidents, vulnerability findings, and overall security posture to inform decision-makers.
Requirements

Clearance: An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field (or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).

Experience: 8+ years in cybersecurity or a related field.

Skills: Familiarity with operating systems like Windows and Linux, experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk), vulnerability assessments using ACAS, and a security-related certification (e.g., Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT).
