Laramie County Community College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Physics to join our faculty team. As a key member of our instructional staff, you will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Teach assigned classes as per course syllabus and schedule, meet required contact hours, and provide a current course syllabus for each course taught.
- Curriculum Development: Maintain and adapt curriculum that is current, effective, and appropriate to course and program competencies.
- Instructional Delivery: Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student success, incorporate current subject matter expertise into instruction, and utilize varied learning activities to maximize student engagement and success.
- Assessment of Student Learning and Continuous Improvement: Support student learning with timely and on-going feedback on progress and provide assistance towards meeting the course competencies.
- Communication: Utilize LCCC email accounts to communicate with students, colleagues, and supervisors, and respond to students in a timely manner.
- Education: Master's degree in Physics or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Experience: Three years of teaching/instructional experience in the field of study.
The Adjunct Professor of Physics will work in a fast-paced academic environment, interacting with students, colleagues, and supervisors. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
