Job Description

The Opportunity

New Orleans College Prep is seeking a dynamic School Social Worker to join our student services team. The ideal candidate will bring unique knowledge and skills to support students in achieving academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the in-school Student Support Services Team (SSS Team) for initial and re-evaluations.
  • Conduct psychosocial histories, classroom observations, and teacher interviews to provide information on student performance.
  • Develop and implement individual and group treatment plans, as indicated on Individual Education Plans (IEP).
  • Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and teams to provide services and interventions for students with behavior problems or failing grades.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Three years of successful social work experience.
  • Licensed Clinical or Master Social Worker (LCSW) or Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Louisiana.
