Job Overview

Reports To: Relief Casing Team Leader

Position Summary

The Casing Technician I plays a vital role in supporting the casing crew with various tasks essential to the operation. This position requires teamwork and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the safe rigging up of equipment
  • Prepare trucks for unloading by safely unchaining and organizing
  • Transport hoses from the truck to the rig floor with care
  • Install warning tape to mark work and danger zones
  • Properly rig up tail ropes for safety
  • Maintain a clean work area and identify potential hazards
  • Operate the V-door safely
  • Wear and understand the importance of safety gear
  • Assist in the safe rigging down of casing equipment
  • Rig tools for transport, ensuring safety from pinch points
  • Ensure the area around the truck is free from spills and debris
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Casing Relief Operator
  • Be available for on-call duties 24/7

Qualifications:

Skills & Knowledge:

  • 0-1 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Thorough understanding of safety protocols and work standards
  • Capable of effectively delegating tasks

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of all necessary training provided by Noble and industry standards

Special Requirements:

  • Ability to work efficiently and safely within a team

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform sedentary to heavy work
  • Lift up to 100 pounds with frequent lifting of 50 pounds or more

Visual & Auditory Requirements:

  • Average vision and hearing capabilities
  • Ability to distinguish colors and perceive depth
  • Valid Driver's License required

Work Environment:

This position may involve exposure to:

  • Cold and damp conditions
  • Fumes and gases
  • Heat and humidity

Repetitive Tasks:

Driver Criteria:

Preferred guidelines for insured drivers include:

  • No major violations within the last 60 months
  • Minimal accidents and moving violations
