Responsibilities:

A Day in the Life of a Landscape Maintenance Specialist:


As a Liberty Military Housing Landscape Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the routine upkeep and maintenance of grounds, buildings, amenities, and surrounding areas within a multi-family residential community.

You will operate tools, machinery, and other equipment to complete tasks efficiently.

Your role requires effective communication, quality workmanship in a safe manner, and a commitment to delivering exemplary service in line with Liberty Military Housing's customer satisfaction standards.


Your Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Conducting routine cleaning and maintenance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, district office, pool, recreational areas, parking lots, and other community areas.

Removing trash from grounds, office spaces, residences, and the surrounding community perimeter daily.

Detailing interior and exterior areas regularly using general cleaning tools and equipment (e.g., broom, mop, vacuum, rake, or blower) to maintain cleanliness in entry areas, sidewalks, streets, and walking paths free of debris, dust, leaves, and brush.

Assisting with snow removal (where applicable) for sidewalks and main entry areas.


Helping prepare make-ready units, including trash removal from vacant homes, touch-up painting, and general cleaning prior to occupancy.

Assisting with various physical tasks as directed, including the removal of abandoned furniture, tools, appliances, and other equipment.

Assisting with repairs, replacements, and installations of window and door screens, light bulbs, and other fixtures.

Maintaining cleanliness in storage and shop areas.

Supporting Service Technicians as needed.

Performing minor interior and exterior touch-up painting/caulking.

Cleaning air conditioning vents, replacing air filters, and smoke detectors.

Carrying out any additional routine cleaning/maintenance on the property as requested or directed.

Reporting any maintenance concerns for repairs on homes, community, and/or common areas to management.


Adhering to all OSHA safety regulations, local laws regarding health, safety, or environment, and LMH Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.


Understanding and following safe work practices for all trades, including but not limited to: Lockout Tag-out, Confined Space Entry, use of hazardous chemicals, use of Personal Protective Equipment, Ladder Safety, and working from Elevated Surfaces.

Performing any additional routine maintenance on the property as requested by a supervisor.

Qualifications:

What You Need for Success:
Entry-level to 6 months of general custodial/maintenance experience.

Basic understanding of grounds maintenance.

Ability to use hand and power tools and cleaning equipment relevant to job requirements.


Effective communication and interaction with co-workers, managers, vendors, or residents; sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.

Ability to operate a motor vehicle (valid license required).

Basic computer skills preferred (PC/mobile device).

Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities.

Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 65 lbs.

May require the use of a personal or company vehicle, or electrical cart.
