Position Overview:

Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end closing processes and validate all reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit regular borrowing base calculations.

Inventory Management Duties:
- Organize and execute cycle counts.
- Conduct semi-annual comprehensive physical counts.
- Review monthly activity rollforwards.
- Analyze month-end inventory valuations.
- Generate and share monthly financial performance reports for management and quarterly compliance.
- Prepare and distribute monthly sales management reports.
- Create and circulate weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Direct and manage daily accounting department operations, including:
    - General ledger entries.
    - Cash receipt processing.
    - Accounts receivable management.
    - Inventory transactions.
    - Fixed asset and depreciation reconciliations.
    - Amortization of goodwill and intangible assets.
    - Accounts payable and check processing.
    - Debt and interest tracking.
    - Payroll entries.
    - Revenue and expense variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all corporate accounting policies and internal controls, including:
    - Asset depreciation recognition.
    - Revenue recognition standards.
    - Travel expense management.
- Assist in the analysis and preparation of the annual budgeting process.
- Support the analysis and preparation of the annual standard cost assessment.
- Act as the primary contact for bank examinations, year-end audits, annual tax submissions, and 401k audits.
- Monitor and evaluate departmental workflows to enhance efficiency while ensuring accuracy.
- Provide guidance to staff on handling complex reporting transactions.

Qualifications:
- CPA certification required, along with a BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business; a post-graduate degree is advantageous.
- Progressive experience in financial reporting and accounting management.
- Proficient in advanced Excel and pivot table functions, capable of managing extensive data sets.
- Experience with accounting software is essential; familiarity with Macola or SQL is preferred.

Compensation:
- Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000
