About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our construction engineering team, you will be responsible for managing construction engineering functions, quality assurance, and inspections on a large number of small construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction engineering functions, quality assurance, and inspections on small construction projects
  • Develop and prepare elementary 2D AutoCAD plans and elevations
  • Prepare independent cost estimates
  • Develop accessibility survey reports
  • Develop work scopes
  • Provide construction management support, including bid solicitation and reviewing submittals, RFIs, and change orders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of related experience in the construction, engineering, or architecture industry
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to client site locations across the US
  • Safe and acceptable driving record and valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Thorough knowledge of construction and/or engineering principles, practices, and procedures, applicable laws, and relevant government regulations
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Previous experience supporting accessibility construction projects
