Position Overview:
As a Geotechnical Project Manager I, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of geotechnical reports. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with senior team members to analyze data and formulate recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of geotechnical reports, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in analysis.
- Oversee construction materials testing (CMT) projects, including daily report evaluations and issue resolution.
- Manage project budgets for both geotechnical and CMT initiatives, including invoice preparation.
- Under supervision, you may also:
- Conduct boring and test pit layouts while assessing site accessibility.
- Prepare drilling packages and secure necessary utility clearances.
- Research local geological history to inform project decisions.
- Supervise field operations conducted by drilling and test pit teams, addressing rig access challenges.
- Perform in-situ testing and potentially specialized geotechnical field assessments.
- Classify soil samples and determine appropriate laboratory testing.
- Assist in drafting proposals for geotechnical and CMT projects aimed at training and development.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related field is required.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- While a professional license is not mandatory for this role, it is essential for career advancement.
- A valid driver’s license is required if driving for any ECS subsidiary.
