Production Operator Job Description

Kent Quality Foods, a family-owned business and a leading manufacturer in the food processing industry, is seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at our Hudsonville location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and tearing down production equipment, including machines, metal detectors, and pipes.
  • Verify labels on carts to ensure accuracy according to the production schedule.
  • Remove products from production lines using sticks and hang them on carts.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established safety protocols.
  • Comply with all safety practices and procedures, including the Order of Predominance.

Requirements:

  • Able to move from Level 1 to Level 4 operator with cross-training, with pay increases at each level.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Machine setup/teardown experience is a plus.
  • Standing for 8-12 hours a day.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in verifying setups and work performed.
  • Good team working skills and ability to work independently.
  • Possess a good understanding of health, safety, and basic hygiene rules.
  • Heavy lifting: 45-50 pounds.
