Refrigeration Technician

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic I to join our team at Schwan's Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, including compressors, evaporators, and condensers.
- Assist in the inspection and maintenance of boilers, including water treatment levels and proper operation.
- Install and replace motors, pumps, switches, safety controls, solenoids, and fuses as needed.
- Repair and replace refrigeration pipes and fittings, and perform basic refrigeration duties.
- Participate in training and development programs to increase job-related skills and knowledge.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
- 0-1 year of related experience in refrigeration maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of refrigeration maintenance, boilers, and ammonia compressors.
- Ability to don and doff air purifying respirator (APR) and/or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
- Qualify for HAZMAT certification and have ability to obtain boiler license.
