We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic II to join our team at Schwan's Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance of all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment.
Responsibilities- Inspect and maintain refrigeration equipment, including air-conditioning units, dehumidifiers, compressors, evaporators, and safety pop-off valves.
- Repair malfunctions and perform complete overhauls as needed.
- Install and replace motors, pumps, switches, safety controls, solenoids, and fuses.
- Assist in the ordering of refrigeration parts and maintain accurate records.
- Perform setup and tear down of equipment and assist with major repairs and/or construction.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
- Knowledge of refrigeration maintenance, boilers, and ammonia compressors.
- Ability to don and doff an air purifying respirator (APR) and/or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), HAZMAT certifiable.
- Ability to obtain a boiler license.
- Advanced electrical and maintenance knowledge/experience required.
