About the Role

Gildan Activewear is a leading manufacturer of apparel, with a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards. We are seeking a skilled Apparel Manufacturing Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on carding machines to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Remove sliver from machines and clean machine parts, components, and web trays.
  • Replace card cans and creel sliver into coiler heads and blow out cards and coiler heads.
  • Remove any tags with tube brush or roll pick and clean rollers with water and rag.
Requirements
  • Standing and walking at a steady pace for 10 hour shifts minus assigned breaks.
  • Good hand & eye coordination and hand dexterity.
  • Reaching, including reaching overhead to heights of 6 ft from the floor.
  • Bending.
  • Ability to lift up to lbs.
  • Ability to work in a cotton dust environment with temperatures of degrees Fahrenheit.
