Job Summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pediatric Hematology Clinical Research Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will play a crucial role in conducting clinical research studies related to pediatric hematology.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that will involve coordinating and preparing necessary documentation for Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Committee on Clinical Investigations (CCI) submissions. You will also be responsible for creating and preparing data collection statistical reports and analytical summaries for distribution to study research teams. Additionally, you will participate in the training of newly hired research study assistants and coordinate activities between hospital and research laboratories to ensure correct testing/processing.

Responsibilities

  • Study Coordination: Recruit patients for research studies through personal interviews and written communications with patients/families.
  • Data Management: Create and prepare data collection statistical reports and analytical summaries for distribution to study research teams.
  • Training and Support: Participate in the training of newly hired research study assistants.
  • Laboratory Coordination: Coordinate activities between hospital and research laboratories to ensure correct testing/processing.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM or Psychology.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical skills to gather and interpret data in which the information or problems are moderately complex to complex.
  • Communication Skills: Well-developed communication skills to provide critical information to patients and effectively deal with conflicting views or issues.
  • Writing Skills: Advanced writing skills.
